春と言えば桜 When we think of Spring, we think of Cherry Blossoms…

My favorite season in Japan is spring. My Japanese friends sent me the beautiful photos of cherry blossoms this year as always.

We can celebrate cherry blossoms throughout Japan from mid-March to late April. This year, cherry blossoms in Tokyo began blooming around March 19th and were at their peak in early April, but even now in late April, we might still be able to enjoy cherry blossoms in the Toohoku region and Hokkaido.

Isn't spring the most beautiful and pleasant season in Japan? People make new beginnings in this beautiful season. In Japan, the students graduate from school in March, seen off by the vibrant peach blossoms. In April, blessed by a curtain of cherry blossoms covering the blue sky and pale pink petals fluttering down like snow, they embark on a new chapter in their lives; some attend entrance ceremonies, begin a new school term, and take their first steps into adulthood as they enter society.
I believe that cherry blossoms are special flower for Japanese people. It’s truly fortunate that people can make a fresh start at this time of year when cherry blossoms bloom. Spring in Japan-this is when I miss Japan the most.
私（わたし）が一番（いちばん）好（す）きな日本（にほん/にっぽん）の季節（きせつ）は春（はる）です。
今年（ことし）も例年（れいねん）通（どお）り、私の友人達（ゆうじんたちが美（うつく）しい桜（さくら）の写真（しゃしん）を私に送（おく）ってくれました。
日本各地（かくち）で３月（さんがつ）中旬（ちゅうじゅん）から４月（しがつ）下旬（げじゅん）ぐらいまで桜を愛（め）でることができます。
今年は東京（とうきょう）では ３月１９日（じゅうくにち）ぐらいごろから桜が開花（かいか）し、４月上旬（じょうじゅん）に見頃（みごろ）だったそうですが、４月下旬の今（いま）でも東北地方（とうほくちほう）と北海道（ほっかいどう）でなら、まだ桜が見（み）られるかもしれません。
日本がもっとも美しく気候（きこう）も快適（かいてき）なのは春（はる）ではないでしょうか？
日本の学生達（がくせいたち）は華（はな）やかな桃（もも）の花（はな）に見送（みおく）られながら３月に学校（がっこう）を卒業（そつぎょう）し、４月には桜のカーテンで覆（おお）われた青空（あおぞら）と雪（ゆき）のようにヒラヒラと舞（ま）う淡（あわ）いピンクの桜の花びらに祝福（しゅくふく）されて、新（あたら）しい人生（じんせい）の門出（かどで）を迎（むか）えます。学生達（がくせいたち）は入学式（にゅうがくしき）を迎（むか）えたり、新学期（しんがっき）を迎えたり、初（はじ）めて社会（しゃかい）へ出（で）て大人（おとな）への第一歩（だいいっぽ）を歩（ある）き出（だ）したりして行（い）くのです。
桜は日本人（にほんじん・にっぽんじん）にとって特別（とくべつ）な花だと言（い）えると思（おも）います。この桜の春に、人々（ひとびと）が新しいスタートを切ることができるのはとても幸（さいわ）いなことだと思（おも）います。
春… それは私にとって、最（もっと）も日本が恋（こい）しくなる時です。
